ABOUT US

ISAYAH 61 Ministries is a not-for-profit Missionary-style Church organization in North-East Georgia, USA.

Is61 was officially founded on September 9th, 2024 in the State of Georgia; many months after launching this informational website. We intend to operate as a Church full of churches. In other words, there will be pastors, elders, and deacons who lead, guard, and implement service to the community and these will by majority be the actual pastors and leaders of local churches. Our services (regularly gathering for fellowship, worship, Bible reading, and planning how to reach our communities) will be mostly full of church leaders and workers from any local body who wants to take part. Our events will mostly be run by groups of those leaders and their own specific church's members for the benefit of the communities we are serving. In other words, the local churches take part in sharing God's Love outside of church walls for the edification of the entire community in harmonious cooperation with other various Christian churches.

To that end, our elders may be pastors or staff at other churches. Our members may be staff or laity at other churches. Our employees will all likely be members at another local church body from any true Christian denomination or non-denomination. No arguing about doctrine; just worshipping God together, walking in love and unity, and putting our hands to the Work of The Gospel in the same field daily. Why do "church' this way? Because this is the original way. [Acts 2:46,47, Rom 12:3-18] More on that later. The greatest thing is that after the initial launch, the name Isayah 61 Ministries will serve as a framework only and the only name the participants will gather around will be something like, "The North Georgia Christian Mission" or "The Coastal GA Mission." Of course the only Name in any activity we engage in that actually matters is "Jesus!" We are setting this up simply to create atmospheres of worship and fellowship for church leaders and serious followers of Jesus Christ whereby we can join together to create more atmospheres of worship and reverence to The King of Kings by helping those in the community know that Jesus is also the Savior King who wants to have an amazing relationship with them and meet their needs as they live on Earth.

We'll also be opening up retail establishments outside of the Isayah 61 corporation (because they will not be non-profit) which will be run by employees who are trained to share the Gospel with every and any customer or guest and utilize a broad church network for the discipleship of the unchurched new followers of Jesus. These retail or venue establishments will donate all profits to other ministries within the Isayah 61 umbrella and also go toward the funding of unrelated food banks, pregnancy centers, ministries, and any church in a community that has a need (emergency or unexpected budget deficit). At one of the planned venues, we have planned an actual auditorium for holding regular services inside the venue and this will serve as a non-churchy... church. Yes, many unchurched people will hesitate to walk into a "church" building so having an "auditorium" in a retail establishment will be less threatening while they hopefully adjust to the church environment. We'll hold discipleship classes and introductory Bible classes at a very gentle level. As those participants get connected to the workers there, we hope they'll bond with someone who can invite them to an actual church for the fullness of fellowship and continued discipleship. Our meetings will not be intended to replace structural church participation but to serve as a bridge between the the unbeliever and local bodies of believers. We do have several of these bridge ministries planned in many different sectors of community needs. We'll open each as The Lord provides the resources.

We are organizing to plant several ministries beginning in Gwinnett, Rockdale, Barrow, and Walton Counties to unite the local body of believers to employ their gifts, talents, and purposes.
A primary initial function is to raise funds which support or launch a broad base of interconnected specific evangelical entities who operate with a Kingdom mindset (versus denominational, institutional, or exalted figurehead movements). Similar to how the denominations were created to provide a framework for followers of Jesus to work, the Is61 Mission Hubs in a community bring this down to a regional application. This operates by method of inclusion of all true servants of God who are purposed in a community to expand their reach and be strengthened by the joining of hands to the work.
Once funded for opening the first major ministry we have planned, we will begin prayerfully hiring the initial staff and purchasing the properties for the ministry to operate from.
The new Director will then begin to follow our ministry plan to set up the ministries with biblical integrity and we will then turn to the public and institutions for the operating budget needs.
Currently, this website is under construction and will serve just as a general primer for the community to get to know us while we continue to network and interact with various people in the area.
ISAYAH 61:1-3 is our primary heart directive for all activities with John 3:16-17 right behind it.
We believe God has a plan for this area and wants to do a work here but has been held back by hearts that have become dull by hearing a watered down and weak explanation of the Gospel.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save souls. He is not a quick fix or patch for our problems.
Jesus is a soon coming King who has already started a battle to take back territory from the evil oppressor. We are the army He uses but we are divided by walls and names on buildings. We have become divided and pose little threat to the pervasive attacks on every foundation of true faith in Jesus. The third verse which makes up our top 3 is John 17, where Jesus said He desires that we be as one just like Jesus was one with The Father.

ISAYAH 61 is a simple mandate. The Spirit of Yahweh is upon us to preach the Good News... comfort, loose those in bondage, bring them beauty and joy while they sit in ashes of destruction, so that God gets the glory and all will consider the amazing changes they see as Beautiful things which The Lord has planted. It's all about showing God's Love in tangible ways to all who are around us.

From there we seek to employ every verse that gives any indication of who The Lord wants us to focus on. We start there and of course, we'll end up with the understanding that God cares for everyone. So, since we want to employ all of God's resources, the best resource God has is church bodies. We have a goal to work with all true Christian bodies to develop localized and specific ministries so that those in need all around us can find help and hope in the abundance of loving Christ followers in a structural church environment. To that end, one of our first goals while setting up the properties for ministry (likely 6mo to more than a year depending...) is to host weekly pastor and leader lunches or breakfasts in the areas we are ministering to first. This was very successful where we did ministry in the past. The leaders of all ministries should be in conversation and over food, we can surely have communion in Christ and a full tummy to return to work with.

Statement of Faith

The Word of God and The Trinity

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God in its original language. The Bible is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live (Matthew 5:17-18; John 10:35 and 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).

We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three indivisible persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-32, 10:30 and 14:7-26; 1 Corinthians 8:5-6; Ephesians 4:4-7; Colossians 1:11-20; Revelation 1:4-6).

Salvation

We believe that all mankind have sinned against God and are subject to His righteous judgment. The only way to obtain salvation from our sins and God’s judgment is through faith in Jesus Christ by the grace of God (John 3:16-18 and 14:6; Acts 4:10-12 and 16:30-31; Romans 3:19-28, 4:1-8, and 10:8-13; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ (Messiah), God’s Son, that He is fully God and fully man, the living Word who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. We believe Jesus lived a sinless life performing miracles as evidence of His deity, that He suffered and died, providing atonement to us through His shed blood, that He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father, and that He will personally return to earth in power and glory and will judge the living and the dead (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 24:1-7 and 24:36-53; John 1:1-4, 1:14, and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; 2 Corinthians 5:10 and 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:19-22; Hebrews 1:1-4, 4:15, and 9:13-15; 1 John 2:1-2; Revelation 1:5-7 and 1:17-18).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells, regenerates, and equips the Christian for godly living and service (Matthew 3:11; John 3:5-8 and 14:15-17; Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-18, 2:43, and 4:31; Romans 8:5-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 and 14:1; Galatians 5:16-26; Ephesians 1:13-14).

(Commentary: We have been on international and local missions where healing and miracles were present. We testify that we have seen with our own eyes that the Holy Spirit of Jesus the Messiah is working in and through missionaries and followers of Jesus and in spite of us quite often. The Holy Spirit does what He wants to accomplish what He wants. We are His willing vessels. Cessationism is a doctrine of devils. If it were a valid doctrine, why would anyone even pray, ever! Trust Jesus!)

The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church (Matthew 16:17-19; Acts 2:37-47; 1 Corinthians 1:10, 3:5-17, 12:12 and 12:27; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:1-6; and 4:11-16; 1 Peter 2:4-5 and 2:9-10; Revelation 7:9-10).

Evangelism and Discipleship

We believe that the ministry of evangelism and discipleship is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:13-20, 9:35-38, 10:27, 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18; John 13:15; Acts 1:8 and 2:42; Romans 10:9-17; 1 Corinthians 1:11; Ephesians 2:10 and 4:11-17; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12; 1 Timothy 4:6-16; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Peter 3:15).

The Sanctity of Life

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end and that we must have concern for both the spiritual and physical needs of our fellow man (Deuteronomy 30:19-20; Psalm 139:13-17; Proverbs 24:11; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Luke 10:25-37; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; James 2:14-26).

Marriage and Human Sexuality

We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. We believe that God created the human race; male and female, in His image and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Genesis 1:27 and 2:24-25; Exodus 20:14-17 and 22:19; Leviticus 18:22-23 and 20:13-16; Deuteronomy 22:5; Psalm 139:13-17; Matthew 5:27-28 and 19:4-9; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and 6:15-20; 1 Timothy 1:8-11; Jude 1:7).
